| Love of nature and especially animals has given me an appreciation of Chinese brush painting. The Chinese tradition celebrates the value and dignity of life in small subjects such as butterflies and frogs as much as in large subjects like lions and tigers. The painter uses brush strokes to try and represent the spirit of the subject. |
