Asian painting claimed Mary Jo when she lived in Japan.  While
there she studied weaving with a "National Treasure".  Her love
of Asian textiles is echoed in the color and texture of her
paintings.  She exhibits in Coronado, Balboa Park, Quail
Gardens, Southwestern College, American Friends' Service
Committee and UCSD.  Mary Jo's work hangs in homes
throughout San Diego County and West Los Angeles, where
residents speak of a newly felt calm and serenity.
The calligrahy means, "New Moon",
which is how her paintings are signed.
