| Thesa was introduced to Chinese brush painting by her Aunt Doris. She began studying with Jean Shen after moving to San Diego. Clean lines, quiet spaces and the movement of the brush continue to attract Thesa's attention as she explores various traditional and modern Chinese themes. Chinese brush painting teachers during her study at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, Jean Shen and visiting mentor teachers have encouraged her to explore the beauty and tranquility of Chinese painting. |
