| I had never heard of Chinese brush painting until I was going through a UCSD Extension catalog offering classes in 1987. The classes were offered by Jean Shen and I have continued to learn under her tutelage and from numerous other instructors. I count as my major influences my fellow classmates and never leave class without learning from them. My work hangs in Australia, Hawaii and on the mainland U.S. I sign my work "Golden Cat" and I enjoy painting cats and other small animals. I especially enjoy painting vegetables and insects. |
