Vivian Joyce sees painting as an adventure.  She tries to
capture the spirit of the subject matter, be it a living being or a
landscape.  The "feel", rather than a precisely measured object,
is the goal.  In addition to her studies in the United States, she
has completed a course in Chinese calligraphy, landscapes,
people, and birds and flowers at the China Art Academy in
Hangzhou, China.
